Old copper and silver gau shrine box, designed to be worn as an amulet on a strap around the neck, or placed on an altar. The gau is filled and empowered, complete with a tsa-tsa (pressed clay figure) of the Sarasvati, the goddess of creativity and art, who is shown playing her long neckd lute (vina).
The gau is in dirty, but good condition except during it's life one of the side brackets used for hanging has broken off, and so the gau is now more suited to placing on an altar. It has a glass or thin mica/rockcrystal front over the tsa-tsa.

The gau is well made, and far heavier than normal gaus of this size, showing it was a high quality item made from thicker metal. It is good condition except during it's life one of the side brackets used for hanging has broken off, this does not impact on the ablity for this gau to be worn on a strap should you wish it, but it could also be filled and empowered and placed on an altar if you would rather not wear it.

The gau is well made, but very dirty, showing signs of it's long life as a beloved sacred object.The gau is a dakini gau, representing the empowered active female. the fifure of the dakini on the front is beautifully worked, showing her dancing on one leg in typical dakini style, holding a skull cup in the one hand a flaying knife in the other. The back and front of the gau are tied together with old cloth.

Pyramid shaped, old stone (which I think is very dark Lapis lazuli from Afghanistan) seal with a carved animal on the bottom. It has been fixed in recent times into a silver, looped cap, making it wearable.
It is hard to say what the animal is, but I think it is either a deer or a mountain goat or wild sheep. Thee is a crescent moon above the rear of the animal, and two other other deliberate marks infront of it.

There is an ancient small casting hole in this mirror which can just be made out about half way between the bottom of the mantra and the bottom of the mirror on the mantra side. This is an ancient casting mistake and does not effect the strength of the mirror in any way.

This is an interesting piece, suspended on a decorated eye hole, allowing it to be threaded on a cord and worn. I suspect this is part of a ritual costume rather than a bit of every day jewellery. It is very well made and attractive.

This is a medieval talismanic finger ring from Northern Europe. Made in bronze, the ring dates to the late C13th or early C14th centuries, and has a cross on the bezel, which is quite equidistant and can be thought of as a medicine wheel or four directions symbol.
