They are also used to bless people, places and objects too by flicking small amounts of water (often by means of a peacock feather) on them. Water once put ina bhumpa is concidered to change from water into amrita, the elixir of immortality.

A very attractivre old handmade copper bhumpa with a lovely patina. It has no leaks and holds water well.

The bumpa is in good condition and is complete with a sprinkler ready for you to put in some peacock feathers as is traditional.

An old Tibetan Buddhist offering object. A torma is a ritual cake made of dough or butter, but sometimes what are called 'fixed offerings' are made, often of precious metals or, as in this case, cloisonne.

It is made of copper with cloisonne decoration overtop, and is in generally good condition. It is suitable as an offering on your own altar.

A gilded copper Tibetan Buddhist mandala offering set, consisting of a base, three rings and a top.

Mandala offerings are towers of precious objects suc5 as semi-precious stones or cowre shells which are symbolicially built to represent the whole universe - this is then offered to the Buddhas and other Buddhist beings. Often a completed mandala is kept on an altar to represent the sacred mountain at the centre of the world, the three worlds and the four directions.

The mandala set is complete and in good condition, suitable for personal practice.
