PAIR OF COMMUNIST ERA MONGOLIAN BADGES (Item No. Amulet A19)

Price including postage: £32 (UK) £36 (World)

Origin: Mongolia.
Age: 30 -50 years approx
Height: 32mm approx

A pair of well made enamel Mongolian badges with the eternal knot design (an ancient shamanic and Buddhist symbol).

One is marked 1st class, and the other 2nd class, by little bars through the top (or bottom) of the knot. They came as part of a job lot from a Mongolian dealer and I have no clear knowledge as to exactly what they are. I think they are cultural awards rather than militery ones.

If anyone knows what they are please email me as I would love to know.

An interesting pair of rather pretty badges in good wearable condition.
